A Letter from Anne

It’s been incredibly exciting to witness the growth we’ve been able to achieve within the B Corp community since our initial certification back in 2022. While it’s not always been easy, and we’ve had moments of doubt along the way, we continue to maintain the highest standards for ourselves and the way we do business. I couldn’t be prouder of my team’s consistent commitment to doing business for good and their contributions to help make us better every day.

The furious onslaught of AI-driven technology in early 2025 has been our biggest test so far. As we keep busy learning as much as we can about how AI is changing the way people interact with one another and how they gather information online, we are also becoming all too aware of the dangers inherent in this new technological frontier. It’s our job to guide our clients towards success in their digital marketing, but we are also responsible for making sure the ways we define their success doesn’t come at too high a price to human welfare and global safety. Honestly, this remains an ongoing dilemma that keeps me up many nights and I am so grateful to my fellow B Corp marketing leaders for sharing their perspectives with me.

We shall see where this conversation leads us over the next few years as we evaluate what makes sense for us as a team and what is in the best interest of the community we share with our neighbors here on the Seacoast of New Hampshire.

I will continue to lead RMG with compassion, care and concern for the world around us. Nothing will keep me from embedding my values into all we do here.

Journey and Mission

B Corp Certification

It had not occurred to me when I opened the doors to Richardson Media Group in 2014 that I would pursue B Corp certification for my company. I assumed I was “too small to make an impact” and “not in business long enough” for a designation like that to matter.

Flash forward to 2020 when I learned about the B Impact Clinic at University of New Hampshire and found that becoming a B Corp was just as important for my agency as it was for larger, more well known companies. Hard work led us to earn our initial B Corp certification in January 2022, almost two years after we began the intensive process of identifying ways to apply our values-driven approach to doing business. That significant accomplishment led RMG to became the first marketing agency in New Hampshire to earn our B Corp certification.

About three years later, in Spring 2025, RMG proudly re-certified as a B Corporation again under Standards 1.6. Our score increased dramatically from 96.1 to 101.8, demonstrating our hard work and our commitment maintaining this identity.

Since re-certifying last year, B Corp has introduced a brand new set of standards designed to raise the bar for certification and drive for-profit organizations like ours to work harder to help solve the world’s critical social and environmental issues. Whether RMG will successfully re-certify for a third time under the new standards in 2027 has yet to be determined.

Our Ongoing Misson

For the past four-plus years, Richardson Media Group has demonstrated what it means to be a purposeful B Corp marketing agency. We give back to our community and the planet by fostering local partnerships and contributing a significant portion of our resources to social and environmental nonprofits through 1% for the Planet, New Hampshire Businesses for Social Responsibility, and other local and national organizations.

In 2025, we formalized our status as a women-owned small business (WOSB) giving ourselves more access to new business contracts demanding diversity and inclusion.

We bring our team’s combined knowledge, expertise, talents, access to technology, energy, experience, and enthusiasm to the table on behalf of a diverse roster of clients and agency partners. Our paid media and SEO solutions are strategic, data-driven, and carefully designed with privacy, social impact, and environmental responsibility in mind.

We use our agency’s voice to encourage others to join our mission to do business in a socially responsible manner and we leverage a variety of internal agency communication channels to share our values-based approach to marketing.

We will continue to do our best to make a positive impact, wherever we can.

2025 Giving Back

RMG’s contributions over the past year have focused on nonprofit organizations concerned with food scarcity and food emergencies, around our local area and beyond. These recipients are all environmental members of 1% for the Planet.

In 2025 alone, we donated over $10,000 to causes like these:

World Central Kitchen

WCK teams serve meals to people recovering from crisis every single day. Hurricanes, wildfires, tsunamis, and volcano eruptions take the team across the world, and they grow in knowledge and capacity with each crisis. Wherever WCK teams go, they work closely with local communities. Over and over again, WCK demonstrates how the best of humanity can show up in the worst of times.

Feeding America

Feeding America is a nationwide network of food banks, food pantries, and meal programs. Together, they source food, provide financial support and distribute resources to millions of people experiencing hunger.

The Ecology School

The Ecology School in Saco, Maine inspires stewardship of and connection to the natural world through experiential learning in ecology, conservation, farming, and sustainability.
